Key Sustainability Themes
We embrace sustainability as a core principle guiding our actions and decisions.
Paree Group’s double materiality assessment was conducted in line with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), still drafts at the time of the assessment in April–June 2023 and revisited in 2024. We wanted to carry out the assessment to future-proof the company for the upcoming CSRD regulation and to gain insights into the development of our first sustainability strategy and sustainability reporting. The double materiality assessment identified six material topics for Paree Group: Climate Change, Resource Use and Circular Economy, Own Workforce, Workers in the Value Chain, Consumers and End-Users, and Business Conduct. These topics will be at the center of Paree Group’s and its subsidiaries’ sustainability work and reporting in the coming years.
Climate
Paree Group and its subsidiaries are committed to reducing our environmental footprint as well as increasing our handprint.
The Group level carbon footprint data collection and calculations were carried out first time in 2023 covering Scope1, Scope2, and partly Scope3 emissions, and following GHG protocol.
In 2024, data collection coverage was increased, and accuracy improved. In total, Paree Group’s carbon footprint in 2024 amounted to 18 773 tCO2e, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 (apart from category 11 and 12 of one of the subsidiaries). In both years, the calculations were verified by an external party.
Scope 1 emissions for the whole Group in 2024 were 255 tCO2e; Scope2 766 tCO2e (market based) and 823 tCO2e (location based), and Scope3 17751 tCO2e. The majority of the emissions came from Scope3, Category1 Purchased goods and services that represented 56% of the total emissions.
Our goal is to improve data coverage and accuracy continuously, and set targets for emission reductions for the whole Group.

Resource use and circular economy
Circular economy
Paree Group and its subsidiaries are committed to reducing the use of virgin raw materials and working towards circular economy. We will work more closely with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to create a future where materials are continually reused and recycled, and new products are aligned with sustainability.
In 2023, we set up a Circular Economy Center of Excellence with participants from the subsidiaries offering physical products. The goal of the Center is to reduce waste and increase the amount of recycled material in products and packaging. The subsidiaries also incorporate Design for Sustainability into their processes.

Own workforce
At Paree Group, we are all dedicated to fostering a work environment that prioritizes employee engagement, well-being and continuous development.
We take care of our employees in several ways, for instance by encouraging value-based leadership, continuous learning and monitoring and supporting employee well-being and engagement.
We offer equal opportunities for professional development with various initiatives across our organization. We promote the learning and skill development of our employees, which is exemplified by for instance Paree Leading for Future program facilitated by Henley Business School, language courses and frequent webinar trainings.

Responsible sourcing
We aim to select only suppliers whose social and environmental standards are consistent with our own, and who act in a way that is compliant with the principles and values of our Supplier and Distributor Codes of Conduct.
In 2023, our subsidiaries started our supplier sustainability risk assessments, created a self-assessment questionnaire, and launched the Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC). At the same time, they started to discuss and share our SCoC with our suppliers. We have also created a Distributor Code of Conduct for our distributors to commit to. At the end of the day, our goal is to promote sustainability in collaboration with our partners.

Business conduct
Knowing and following applicable laws and regulations is a basic requirement for us and our partners. Our Code of Conduct applies to everyone in our company, at every level, including employees, management, and board members. The Code of Conduct is supplemented with various policies, principles, and guidelines, including our environmental policy.
Everybody in our group must participate in the Code of Conduct training and testing. At the end 2024 98% of the parent company’s and subsidiaries’ employees had completed the training.
Paree Group has a whistleblowing channel for its internal and external stakeholders available on our website. Through this grievance channel, reporting of concerns can be done in good faith, anonymously if desired, and without fear of reprisal. All reported cases undergo a thorough investigation and follow-up.
